I carved this little turtle out of wood using a small precut piece of wood and a wood carving knife. I started first by shaping the shell and making it round. Then I focused on making the legs by carving on the bottom of it. Finally I went to the head and made that round. I had to be very careful about the way I was cutting as to not take off too much when doing the really small and important parts like the head.
